Let's thrive together!

Hello there! I'm so glad you're here.

My name is Aerica Walsh, and I am an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist, a certified pediatric feeding therapist, a mother of two, and the founder of Thrive.

I earned my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Syracuse University in 2015 and have had experience working in a variety of settings over the last 10 years, including public schools, outpatient rehabilitation and private practice. While I’m so grateful for every clinical experience I’ve had and every individual I’ve treated, motherhood is what truly shaped me as a therapist. My daughter was born with tongue and lip ties which impacted our early breastfeeding dynamic, and my son has Down syndrome with feeding difficulties associated with his diagnosis.

My babies and their own unique feeding challenges prompted me to pursue continuing education and specializations in feeding therapy, and motivated me to become a resource for other parents who may also be in the throes of figuring out how to best feed their child. My approach to therapy integrates evidenced-based practice with personal experiences and is grounded in the understanding that every child has their own unique needs that require individualized intervention. I can’t wait to work with you and your child!
